Warehouse Customer Service Representative - Ida, Michigan

Culligan is seeking a front-line Warehouse Customer Service employee who ensures delivery of exceptional customer service through efficient and accurate handling of product in the warehouse, including incoming calls from customers, and service delivery measures.  The Warehouse Customer Service Representative will be the first point of customer contact for general inquiries, scheduling service calls for customers, product delivery, and resolution for billing inquiries.

 

Candidates must be comfortable with all aspects of warehouse work to include: utilizing a forklift, stocking, inventory counts, loading and unloading product, equipment maintenance etc…    The right person for this role will not only handle the customer service related & clerical duties, but will also learn to service and install water treatment equipment.

Responsibilities

 

 

The Warehouse Customer Service person will build and maintain business relationships with customers and vendors by providing prompt and accurate service to promote customer loyalty.

 The primary responsibility for this role is to deliver first class customer service and build customer satisfaction and loyalty.  

 

  • Provide effective and timely resolution of a range of customer inquiries- service and product dispatching, sales and billing
  • Utilize a forklift or other necessary tools to load and unload product / deliveries in the warehouse
  • Clean and prep equipment for remarketing to customers
  • Ordering warehouse supplies and unloading trucks
  • Billing / Invoicing of service orders, coding invoices for payment
  • Inventory and supply counts  
  • Assist walk in customers with product orders placing 5 gallon water bottles in or other product into customer vehicles (must be able to lift at least 50lbs repetitively, up to 100lbs periodically
  • Demonstrate best judgment in the disbursement of adjustments and credits
  • Resolve complaints about billing and service according to guidelines established by the company
  • Empowered to solve problems independently and make decisions considered to be in the best interest of the customer and company alike.
  • Schedule and coordinate service calls, making sure workers orders are placed in proper date scheduled.
  • Make annual filter change calls to customers
  • Close and bill work orders on a daily basis
  • Responsible for uploading routes to handheld for route drivers, printing route for the week, and closing out routes at the end of each day
  • On a daily basis, set up phone call reminders for next day deliveries, filter changes, & delinquent accounts.

Please note: Employees in this position will have some exposure to the elements, if it’s hot outside it will be hot in the warehouse

Qualifications

 

 

  • Six months to one year Customer Service experience in a warehouse setting
  • Must be able to lift/ push/ pull up to 50lbs repetitively, and up to 100lbs periodically throughout the course of the workday
  • Dispatching, service scheduling, and billing experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated competency in Windows and Microsoft Office products
  • Keyboarding proficiency and use of automated systems
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check per the company requirements
  • Ability to thrive and multi-task in an active working environment
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Must have no fear of confined spaces as service calls may require associates to get into crawl spaces and under sinks.
