Service Manager – Culligan of Denver

 

Culligan Service Manager's are responsible for supervision of service technician personnel, shipping and receiving, and ordering of water treatment equipment and products. The Service Manager also assists in the tracking of inventory and transfers of inventory from corporate warehouse.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Supervision of all service technician employees.
  • Maintain sufficient stock levels of products and equipment used for water treatment products and services.
  • Proper shipping and receiving of products both internally as well as to direct ship customers, if necessary.
  • Transfers of inventory from corporate warehouse to out-of-town warehouses.
  • Communication of any inventory issues to corresponding managers.
  • P&L responsibility for service department (both revenue and expenses)
  • Create and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Schedule may include some weekend work, long days/early mornings
  • Ordering and inventory control for all parts, plumbing supplies and ancillary products needed to ensure the correct and full completion of any and all service department responsibilities.
  • Maintenance of the service vehicle fleet to minimize potential truck downtime.
  • Supervise that all service vehicles are cleaned regularly (inside and out) so that we present a favorable public image through our vehicles.
  • Collection of monies due at the time that service is rendered. Promptly turn said monies or customer payments and daily activity sheets to the office staff at the completion of each work day. Supervise other service techs to do the same.
  • General housekeeping of any part of our facility that is impacted and used by service personnel and vehicles, including the upkeep and security of all tools, equipment or other company assets utilized by the service department technicians.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Experience in personnel supervision is preferred.
  • Direct, hands-on experience installing and servicing residential/commercial water treatment equipment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service. Having the innate sense and ability to observe a situation and respond in an appropriate, professional manner.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, that would demonstrate the ability to relate and teach to others concepts, ideas and practices that directly impact the profitable operation of a service department.
  • The physical ability to handle the demands and rigors of the position including, but not limited to, bending, twisting, reaching overhead, crawling, working in tight spaces, lifting and/or pulling heavy objects (at times over 100lbs).
  • Ability to, at all times, to pass a drug screen/work physical exam and maintain a clean driving record as confirmed by a state motor vehicle report.
