    Hall’s Culligan Water and PrairieFire Coffee Roasters is looking for an ambitious and driven Accounting Manager to join our team.     The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the training and development of accounting team members and will play an essential role in process improvement and managing the work statement.

    • Supervise four accountants responsible for 30+ P&Ls monthly
    • Responsible for timely preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and cash flows) from trial balance
    • Responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner
    • Advise accountants regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
    • Responsible for quality of accounting through participation in monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations by accountants
    • Coordinate audit/other information requests and proactively address follow-ups as needed
    • Responsible for development and training of team members; including establishing goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance professional development
    • Lead or participate in project teams to develop new processes and/or implement systems



    Additional Leadership Responsibilities:

    • Implement business process improvements and lead standardization of processes across all locations 
    • Perform review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for appropriate accounting treatment and financial statement presentation 
    • Evaluate internal control processes across all entities and implement process and/or control changes as required
    • Participate in evaluation of system/interface processes for potential opportunities to improve efficiency or effectiveness of accounting department
    • Develop relationships with all constituents in finance and operations to enhance effectiveness of the position




    • Minimum of 7 years relevant accounting experience; preference given to those with experience in both public accounting and industry
    • Undergraduate degree in accounting required.  CPA or Master Degree preferred.
    • Previous experience managing with focus on employee development
    • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and internal control procedures
    • Comprehensive understanding of G/L and financial reporting processes
    • Superior analytical and problem solving capabilities
    • A self-motivated hands-on team player with a “can-do” attitude and a solutions oriented personality
    • Ability to adapt quickly & maintain flexibility with regard to ad-hoc projects, revisions to areas of responsibility and organizational change
    • Excellent at workload prioritization, resource management, and project management.  Develops and manages processes that are effective and efficient.
