Hall’s Culligan Water and PrairieFire Coffee Roasters have an immediate opening for a HR Business Partner.  Our family of companies employs nearly 900 people across 10 states in over 45 dealerships.  The HR Business Partner will strive to achieve cooperative, consultative relationships with business leaders, managers and employees through the organization. 
 

Our next HR Business partner will need hands on experience with full employee life cycle, sound judgement in personnel issues and employment matters.  Success in this role will also require root cause analysis and corrective action management. Multi-site and multi-state experience is highly desired.  

 

In order to meet expectations, the HR Business partner will have the ability to continuously re-prioritze work as business needs change.  The person best suited for the role will also need to be a strong communicator with the ability to deliver an effective message both verbally and in writing.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Support various HR practices that include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of HR policy and procedures, performance plans, pre-employment screening, new hire orientation, and employee terminations.
  • Consult with and provide employee relations support to managers, supervisors and employees to ensure complaints, performance management, corrective action and disciplinary actions are handled in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner.
  • Process required documentation for new hires, employee changes, and terminations accurately and timely.
  • Manage, compile and analyze data. Send accurate reports and communication to various groups of the organization.
  • Consult with managers and staff on all HR matters.

Qualifications

  • Outgoing, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude that easily adapts to change

  • Solid knowledge of current labor laws and human resource practices across multiple states
  • Customer service focused: Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all organizational levels
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work independently with minor direction
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF editing software

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study and 5 years Human Resource Generalist experience with at least 2 of those years at a BP level or higher; or
  • Minimum of 7 years Human Resources Generalist experience with at least 2 of those years at a BP level or higher, including the entire employment process from hire to termination.
